Winter party fun

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing winter break! Here are some photos from the last week before winter break. We had the All School Sing, Ms. Woods' class family potluck, and the winter party! Thanks to all the parent/grandparent who volunteered at various events (including my mom!), and Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to the rest of the year together.

Winter Party Games
One of our stations was the game "Don't Eat Pete!" This is one of my favorites, and involves assigning a teen number and accompanying winter cartoon character to be "Pete." Kids take turns guessing who is Pete in each round - for every number they read, they get to eat an M&M - but don't eat Pete's M&M!

We also played Pin the Nose on the Snowman on the Smartboard. It was harder than the kids thought!

Winter Party Crafts
My mom came to help the kids make snowman crafts with marshmallows and glitter. We're not sure where more marshmallows ended up, on the paper or in the kids' mouths...

Winter Party Treats
Several families brought in some delicious treats, so another station was eating several treats! Fortunately the party was after lunch so hopefully it didn't ruin too many appetites.

It was a great day overall! Here are a few extra pictures from the last week before winter break.
